LAWST Handbook Cem Kaner Cem Kaner and Brian Lawrence began the Los Altos Workshops on Software Testing (LAWST) in February, 1997 with 12 invited attendees working for two days on automating GUI testing. Sixteen LAWST workshops were run in the next 6 years. The collaborative LAWST style has now branched into dozens of workshop series world wide. In 1999 Cem "wrote the book" to describe how to facilitate these workshops.
Avoiding shelfware and [Slides] Cem Kaner Cem Kaner summarized the first two years of LAWST in an excellent paper and Keynote address at 1998 STAR East; "Avoiding shelfware: A manager's view of automated GUI testing." I highly recommend it for practioners and managers alike.
